Japanese Subculture in
Nagaland: NAJ Cosfest, Cosplayers’ Performativity and Collective Production

                                                                           Dr. Jasmine Yimchunger, Assistant Professor and In-charge, Department of Mass
                                                                           Communication, Sikkim University, presented a paper titled “Japanese Subculture in
                                                                           Nagaland: NAJ Cosfest, Cosplayers’ Performativity and Collective Production” at the 5th
                                                                           Kyoto Conference on Arts, Media and Culture in Kyoto, Japan, from October 15-19, 2024.
                                                                           She spoke in the session focused on ‘Pop Culture, Subculture & Identities.’ The conference
                                                                           was organized by the International Academic Forum along with the IAFOR Research Centre
                                                                           at Osaka University and other global partners. The Vice-Chancellor and the entire University
